How this is made and where it is going
My name is Vladimir. DK Media is something I put together myself: a map of cultural places worth seeing. There are few of us so far, the database is small and grows by hand – I check every place personally.
This is an early stage, and I show everything as it is, including what is not there yet. Below is a short log of what has been done and where I want to take it.

Where this is going
No dates: promising deadlines at this stage would be dishonest. The order is roughly this.
Already working
- a map of places by city
- a picking feed with photo galleries
- an interactive map next to the feed
- accepting suggestions from visitors
- long-read articles
- the Resources section with vetted cultural sites
In progress
- growing the database city by city
- descriptions for every place
- the English version
- the interactive map on phones
- reworking the resources and articles pages for wide screens
Planned
- accounts and syncing favourites between devices
- ratings and reviews for places – once there is an audience
- a feed that knows your city
- growing the database: AI suggests candidate places, people check and approve them
- a volunteer community around the project
- districts on the map – once places carry that data
- a mobile app
Where we want to get to
The map should be kept by people, with the machine helping them. AI is good at searching and bringing candidates: here is a new place, here is the address, here are the photos. But a person always decides – checks that the place exists, that it is genuinely worth the trip, and only then it appears on the map.
That way the project can grow quickly and stay honest. Nothing gets here automatically. Today I check everything myself; later I want people who love their city to do it – and I will be the one keeping the bar.
